About A.N.D. Denim:
The concept of A.N.D. was born from our appreciation of the way jeans wear in naturally. The A.N.D. team researched for over a year, collecting worn-in jeans from denim enthusiasts all over the world and studying the wear patterns. All jeans start with raw denim. Women love the look and color of raw denim, but not the stiff and uncomfortable feel. The A.N.D. team has developed a trademarked technique that takes raw untreated denim and transforms it into a soft and worn-in fabric without using water, maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the indigo-dyed denim.Since many of the styles never touch water, A.N.D. provides "wears" rather than the traditional "washes" - including 50 wears, 150 wears, 250 wears, and 350 wears. In addition, the line offers styles that have been "home washed," meaning the wash authentically mirrors what happens when a girl wears her jeans and then washes them. The A.N.D. design team is comprised of true "jeaners" who took a note from denims roots by bringing back the authentic jean, using indigo-dyed yarn with a focus on construction, fit and quality. All of A.N.D. jeans are made by people in Los Angeles. In a market where novelty and trend-driven concepts have taken over, A.N.D. is taking an organic and heritage approach to jeanswear.
