In 1975, Canadian art student John Hardy traveled to Indonesia to learn jewelry-making with a master Balinese artisan. Embodying that modern spin on the traditional by-the-yard style, this chain necklace alternates between infinity, cable, and round statement links. Double this river rock-inspired necklace to fill a scoop neckline or wear it draped as a single strand.

Kali, which means 'river' in Balinese, drew its design inspiration from the water-smoothedstones that line the streams of Bali. The motif is highly polished freeform pebble shapes set in a random pattern, heightened with deep oxidation.
