Dr. Gregory Bays Brown is a true art connoisseur and avid collector. This year, he is excited to share his passion for the arts with ReVive's ninth annual special edition skin care collection, Artbox 9, showcasing artwork from renowned artist Ross Bleckner.
The artwork featured on this keepsake box, Meditation (Entering), embodies a spiritual presence, depicted through a series of layered luminous organic forms. These foliage-like shapes are reminiscent of the meditation symbol, mandalas, and reference a transcendental experience that delicately balances between purity and naturalism.
Bleckner's meditative imagery seemingly emanates a serendipitous quality from the center of the canvas, creating an evocative power that is captivating yet liberating.

About the Artist:
For the last 20 years, Ross Bleckner's art has been largely an interpretation of change, loss, and memory. Mr. Bleckner uses symbolic imagery rather than direct representation and his work is visually elusive, with forms that constantly change focus. While much of Bleckner's work can be divided into distinct groups or series with motifs repeated from painting to painting, he is also in the habit of redeploying and combining old motifs. Works by the Artist are held in collections around the world including Museum of Modern Art, NY, Museum of Contemporary Art, LA, Astrup Fearnley Museet for Moderne Kunst, Museo National Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY. Bleckner was born in New York, graduated from New York University and California College of the Arts and currently lives and works in Manhattan.
