Brunello Cucinelli: Cashmere & Castles

The Brunello Cucinelli team shot the Fall collection at Castello dell’Oscano, an ancient residence dating from 1360, nestled in the green hills near Perugia. (Not very far from the brand’s headquarters in Solomeo.) Both the men’s and women’s Fall collections are focused on layering of knits in warm, serene colors, and influenced by the British outdoorsman lifestyle. The brand’s creative team shared their behind-the-scenes snapshots, giving us insight into how they made the flawless final images.

David Yurman Introduces Chiclet Collection

David Yurman collectors, this is right up your alley. The new, exclusive Chiclet collection is a veritable collage of iconic Yurman design elements and textures, with multiple signature cushions arranged in linear or mosaic patterns. One could say the cushions slightly resemble pieces of gum — a fun notion anyway. The earrings, necklaces and bracelets feature new Fall colors. The “Hampton Blue” colorway includes cool shades of Hampton blue topaz, hematite and diamonds set in blackened sterling silver. “Citrine” includes warm shades of citrine set in sterling silver with 18K yellow gold.  David Yurman is available on NeimanMarcus.com and Neiman Marcus stores. The event, Up Close: David Yurman, runs August 25-28.

Juliska Country Estate Comes to The Table

Juliska

Juliska Country Estate Collection

An afternoon in the English Countryside immediately prompts magical thoughts – sipping tea in a lush garden, overlooking formal flowerbeds filled with phlox and delphinium.  Traditional English culture invites conversation and evokes memories through food and home.  Juliska, the dinnerware crafter, elegantly encapsulates these memories in its latest collection, Country Estate.  The quintessential English pattern was created by Deborah Sears of Isis Ceramics, a painter, whom Juliska credits as “the finest hand in all of England.”

Footlogix: Solutions For Sandal Feet

Footlogix

Summer is waning and by now you have probably braved sky-high wedge sandals, leather flatforms and possibly Grecian gladiators.  You might even have gone barefoot on a boardwalk or a rocky beach.  Chances are, your feet are showing the effects of all that exposure with rough, peeling skin or worse — calluses.  Care for your feet before sandal season is over with Footlogix, a foot care mousse that moisturizes and improves the health of your skin. According to Footlogix their products incorporate a patented “trans-dermal technology” that allows active ingredients to “penetrate faster and deeper into the skin than any other product.”  The mousse mimics the skin’s own composition. It supplements, rejuvenates, moisturizes and repairs the epidermis, creating a porous, long-lasting barrier on the feet, allowing the skin to transpire normally.  From callus softener, cracked heels to peeling or rough skin, there is a formula to fit your needs.  Shop Footlogix at neimanmarcus.com and select Neiman Marcus stores.

Brioni’s Newest Suit Silhouette

Brioni

This season Brioni, the ultimate Roman tailor, introduces a new suit silhouette called NM Colosseo, named of course after the Coliseum. Think of Rome in the Sixties…Fellini…Cinecittá…men in trim suits zipping around on Vespas. Colosseo, a Neiman Marcus exclusive, is a hybrid of the older models Parlamento and Secolo. The jacket is on the shorter side, with a higher waist and a narrower lapel with a higher notch. It gives modern expression to the notion of a “power suit.” (In the Eighties, exaggerated dimensions signaled power. Today, impeccable fit does.) The corresponding Phi trouser has a flat front and a narrower leg. In sum, Colosseo is an essential addition to a youthful gentleman’s wardrobe.
