We stopped by NM assistant beauty buyer Summer Larson’s very pink office at NeimanMarcus.com HQ, where she had just finished up a morning mani – testing a brand new gel nail kit deskside. Completely work-related, of course! She then unzipped her Prada cosmetic case.

Last week national magazine editors had the privilege of being first to preview the mother of all design collaborations, the #Holiday24 collection from Neiman Marcus, Target and 24 CFDA designers. After braving a bizarre NYC hailstorm, they were astonished at the breadth and desirability of the products. It’s a cliche to say there’s something for everyone, but the collection really does offer something unexpected for everyone on your holiday checklist. 1.5 oz. El Jimador Silver Tequila
2 oz. Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
1/2 lime
Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Champagne
Pour the tequila into a champagne flute. Then pour the ruby red grapefruit juice and squeeze the lime into the glass. Top with Champagne and garnish with lime peel. Sprinkle lightly with Kosher salt. Cheers!

A year after launching her eponymous ready-to-wear collection exclusively at Neiman Marcus, Rachel Zoe is back with maj news! Yesterday the celebrity stylist-turned-television star-turned fashion designer revealed her jewelry collection to the public for the first time at NM Beverly Hills. The trunk show was a one-day-only opportunity for customers to shop her Art Deco, Sixties and Seventies inspired baubles before the collection officially arrives at all Neiman Marcus stores and NeimanMarcus.com in August. Zoe surprised the crowd when she appeared personally and met with customers. RZ arrived wearing a sleek black pant suit, her Morrison tote, a golden rope necklace and bracelet with intertwined pave strands and tassels from her Fall 2012 collection, and a sliced crystal ring that is a sample from her Spring 2013 collection!

In the heat of summer there is a sense of holiday cheer amongst Neiman Marcus, Target and the CFDA. A feeling of giddiness as we anxiously await to unwrap more than 50 limited-edition gift items designed by two dozen of the nation’s most notable designers. While the #holiday24 product details are still as top secret as Santa’s workshop, a few of the designers we tapped with Target for our mega-collab let the cameras into their studios to talk about the project. For now, the superlative slate of talent are keeping their designs, that will be sold at both Neiman Marcus and Target, a surprise. One thing is for sure though, spirits are bright!

Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Collection
There is something about the light in the Desert Southwest that is just a little more vibrant than anywhere else. Blues look bluer, pinks look pinker and everything is bolder. Bobbi Brown’s latest collection Desert Twilight transports us to an evening in the desert for Fall.
The gem of the collection is the eyeshadow palette that reminds me of a rose-colored sunset. The shades are neutral, but with a pink/blush undertone that looks especially great on hazel eyes. Her powders, as usual, are finely milled and a dream to blend. And I appreciate the inclusion of beautiful matte taupes, along with a chocolate that, when wet, makes a great eyeliner. The sleek metal packaging is worthy of the most fabulous of purses.
