Out of NM’s epic partnership with Target come more than 50 terrific gifts by 24 of today’s top American designers. They’re a crafty crew of CFDA members and visionaries who love the holidays as much as we do. Here, get to know four of the designers—Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia, Joseph Altuzarra, Brian Atwood and Robert Rodriguez—and get ready to shop their #Holiday24 gifts on Dec. 1 at Target and Neiman Marcus stores and online.
NM: What inspired you to make this piece?
Stacey Bendet: I travel around the world and I am always hunting for unique luggage! I wanted something fun and graphic, and so I went with my signature stripe! Bold, yet classic.
NM: What would make this piece the perfect gift?
Stacey: Guys, listen up here. Give this to your girlfriend with tickets for a romantic getaway somewhere. That would get a serious A+!
NM: What particular detail do you love the most on the item you made?
Joseph Altuzarra: To produce the tumblers and shaker, we used an old manufacturing technique called “pressed glass” where the glass is molded into a diamond lattice pattern. The diamond pattern is then gilded in gold to highlight the intricacies and the texture of the pattern. I also love the high gloss lacquer finish on the tray and the brass inlayed hinges, which I think feels very French.
NM: What inspired you to make this piece?
Brian Atwood: I was inspired by old Hollywood glamour and loved mixing materials to give it just the right amount of edge.
NM: What would make this piece the perfect gift?
Brian: It’s always about a bold statement for me and these are the perfect little “me” gift.
NM: Where do you see someone wearing this piece?
Robert Rodriguez: Since it is the perfect holiday dress, I can see someone turning heads in this at a fabulous cocktail party. I love the lace scallop around the top and bottom of the dress. It is a little detail that adds a lot of sophistication.

Thank you to all who voted to decide our Blogger On The CUSP! We have had barrels of fun with all of our finalists throughout this campaign. And we are thrilled with the winner of the popular vote: Emilee Anne! We’re presenting her gift card on Nov. 17, when she’ll be hosting festivities at our Downtown Dallas flagship, 2-4 pm. It’s a return to the mother ship for Emilee Anne Hefflefinger, a native of Dallas now living in New York. She attended Parsons School of Design, earning a bachelor’s in Fashion Design. She currently designs jewelry at Marc Jacobs and blogs after hours. She uses her blog to share inspiration, designs and favorite trends including current and vintage fashions. “I want to make an impact on the fashion industry and inspire people like the designers I admire have inspired me,” she says. We say she is the perfect embodiment of the CUSP slogan, Where Smart Meets Stylish. She’s just starting what will surely be a great career in fashion and media, and we’re proud to call her ours for the moment!
“Before I was able to attend a fashion design school, Neiman’s was my learning institution,” says Emilee. “Neiman Marcus introduced me to the designers I still admire today, like Marc Jacobs. Of course my mother and I love to shop, but what really made an impact on me was the opportunity to see the details and craftsmanship of designer garments in person throughout each season. This store, this home, fostered my love for fashion and made me the designer I am today. And for this reason, I am honored to be the Blogger on the Cusp!”
Jamie Wolf, a former dancer with the New York City Ballet, is now a jewelry designer dedicated to hand crafting in America. This video celebrates the skill of those who make her collection, which is sold in select Neiman Marcus stores. Video directed by George Lange.

A partnership as extraordinary as Neiman Marcus + Target calls for some extra creative promotion, and the good people at ABC’s Revenge delivered just that. This Sunday during the mid-season finale, in lieu of commercials viewers will see a string of scenes featuring the #Holiday24 collection. Here’s a peek. Tune in Sunday night, 9/8c on ABC, for the rest, and join the Twitter chatter at #GiftofRevenge!
Confession: I go to James Bond films for the sole purpose of seeing Daniel Craig in a Tom Ford wardrobe, and Skyfall, the 23rd film in the series, will be no exception. Although one does get jaded by the multiple brand-fest that the films have become, the wardrobe truly is a treat for the sartorially aware. After all, you only see this much Tom Ford tailoring on a red carpet, in Tom Ford stores, or in NM stores. Skyfall comes to U.S. theaters this weekend. See if you can spot Tom Ford’s “Marko” polarized aviator sunglasses.
Last week we revealed the products comprising the #Holiday24 collection, a mega-collaboration between NM, Target and 24 designers of the CFDA. So now we can share more of the design process with you. Some of these designs were rendered by hand, and some by computer. But all of them capture the essence of the product in an intriguing way. We are so lucky to work with such creative people! More product details can be found on NeimanMarcus.com.
Please join us in congratulating the 5 finalists in our Blogger On The CUSP contest! Out of hundreds of entries, these 5 bloggers were chosen by our judges to best represent the ideals of CUSP by Neiman Marcus. Now you decide who will be crowned THE Blogger On The CUSP! You can vote once a day on the contest tab found on the Neiman Marcus and CUSP Facebook pages.

“I’m a recent Parsons Design School Graduate, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Currently working in the design department at Marc Jacobs, living in New York City, but I stay true to my personal style and myself. Neiman Marcus will always be my home away from home, and served as a valuable learning environment for an aspiring designer. I was raised with an appreciation for fashion and art, and I want to share my ideas and designs with a larger audience. I use my blog to showcase my personal designs along with my favorite trends including current and vintage fashions, but most of all I want to make an impact on the fashion industry and inspire people like these designers have inspired me.”

My blog is a space where I put everything I love about fashion all into one spot that is very close to my heart! I think my world travels and adventures have brought me to where I am now and certainly influence my style in a unique way. I take huge pride in my photography and quality of what I put on my blog; it represents me and my life and I couldn’t be more honored and flattered that my readers are interested in it. “I am a Los Angeles-based stylist who started a blog with two stylist friends. We decided to showcase our individual looks and what inspires us. I want people to understand that you can look fashionable without spending all your money. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely feels good to splurge a little here and there, but you need to remember to spend on staple pieces that you will have forever. Those pieces will be your go-to’s and you will never regret having them in your closet, that’s a promise. I am a ‘Blogger on the Cusp’ because I am not afraid to try the next big trend and to show girls like me that all you need is confidence.”

“I’m a vintage shop owner and I started my blog in 2006 when I was 14 as a creative outlet to share vintage inspiration and travel diaries. And since then it has grown tremendously, these past 3 months alone I’ve been traveling for projects and fashion weeks. (Lollapalooza with Teen Vogue, 2 design collaborations, Miami Swim Week, New Zealand Fashion Week…) I believe I am a ‘Blogger on the Cusp’ because the years of growing a relationship with my readers and sharing these opportunities, these adventures and my inspiration on my blog have brought me to a very exciting moment. I feel extremely humbled and grateful to be at a point where looking back, I can see tremendous growth in comparison to where I started.”

You’ve waited very patiently for this, and for that alone you belong on Santa’s “nice” list. NM and Target announced an epic co-collaboration with 24 CFDA designers way back in July. We now present the collection, which will be available December 1. As promised, it’s chockablock with giftable items for women, men, children, pets and home. What’s on your list?
Today in New York the retailers unveiled the products to the press, appeared on “Good Morning America” and announced a major integration into the ABC series “Revenge.” Target and Neiman Marcus will be the sole sponsors of the show’s November 11 finale, and in lieu of commercials, the Revenge team is creating original content incorporating the #Holiday24 collection. It will be stylish, scandalous, and it will destroy you.
