Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow

Summer makeup routine calls for a quick application with products that have serious staying power. We are more likely to have longer days, spending an evening on a restaurant patio or grilling by the pool as the sun sets. No one wants to worry about re-primping when the weather is warm and celebration is in full swing.

Bobbi Brown’s reign in long-wear eye color began with the award-winning Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. This little pot will always have a place on my vanity. It is transfer-resistant but requires a brush to apply.

To follow up on the success of gel eyeliner, Bobbi Brown developed Long-Wear Cream Shadow, a range of award winning eye shadows that achieve perfect wearability. While it is creamy in texture, the formula contains polymers that adhere the color to the eyelids. There is no creasing or smearing and the shades stick through the longest days. She added five new shades recently that offer an on-trend metallic and pastel look. I’d suggest investing in the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Brush – it picks up and applies the pigment effortlessly.

And to simplify the eyeliner routine, Bobbi announced a much anticipated and desired launch a short while back: Long Wear Gel Eye Liner in pencil form. Long-Wear Eye Pencil can easily stay strong through 12 hours. The formula is highly pigmented but creamy, so application is a breeze. Even with my allergies, smudge has been minimal. I love a liner that can go from AM to PM without a second thought. The colored shades like Hunter really show through a hint of the underlying color – a great way to wear liner in the summer (isn’t as harsh as straight up black). Sharpening is a cinch with the included Bobbi Brown sharpener.
