“Upon each new meeting, an emotion is grafted with people or places,” says Parisian perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. Kurkdjian has created fragrances for the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, Lanvin and Narcisco Rodriguez and collaborated with renowned artists to create extravagant olfactory installations. After spending time in New York, Kurkdjian composed a perfume (the scent of a dollar bill passed from hand to hand) for artist Sophie Calle, and presented it at the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art. He later transformed the basin of the Orangerie of Versailles into a giant fluorescent and perfumed orange. Since 2009 Kurkdjian has created sophisticated perfumes under his own line – Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

These unique scents offer a range of key notes and reflect Kurkdjian’s belief of leading a “perfumed life 24/7.” According to Kurkdjian, a scent should be spritzed on your skin, into the air, onto your linens and even infused in your laundry. This is especially true with Aqua Universalis, a fresh, genderless fragrance inspired by the “emotion of clean.” It features key notes of bergamot and lemon from Sicily with lily of the valley and light, musky orange.
Recent fragrance additions include APOM, Lumiére Noire and Agathe’s Bubbles. APOM (A Part of Me), represents a bit of oneself that is left on others… A relationship inspired by the beauty of Lebanon… A combination of softness and strength.
APOM for women features key notes of orange flower, cedar wood and Ylang-Ylang flower. APOM for men features key notes of cedar wood and Amber.

Looking for a sexy sophisticated story? Rose and patchouli unite in Lumiére Noire - a scent that recalls the cool mystery and the natural warmth of people we are drawn to. The gender-specific scents are differentiated with the addition of Mugwort herb for men and Narcissus for women.

Kurkdjian created Agathe’s Bubbles for his niece. These single-note scented bubbles offer a novel way to discover the world of fragrance through play. Featured notes include: Cold Mint, Cut Grass, Pear and Violet.
