Chantecaille Reinvents Sun Protection
Summer is around the corner, which means it’s probably time to pick up some sun protection. Worth your attention: Chantecaille Protection Naturelle SPF 46. It’s a physical sunscreen—an ultra-fine, loose, mineral powder—and therefore ideal for an SPF boost later in the day, without messing up your makeup.
It offers offers UVA/UVB protection, and can be worn on bare skin or over makeup. Choose from two shades: translucent Light (which is truly invisible) and warming Bronze.
This wonder-product contains lauroyl lysine, a skin- and hair-conditioning agent derived from coconut oil, and calcium silicate, which absorbs excess oil but is still good for dry skin. It also provides a “soft focus” look that isn’t mask-like.
And the packaging is brilliant: a self-dispensing brush holds a reservoir of powder. (I love products that don’t require a separate brush.) When you run out? Just buy the refill. A filled brush is $65; the refill is $30.
