Le Metier de Beaute Le Métier de Beauté artist Maud LaCeppe created this makeup look with designer Christian Cota for his Fall 2011 show. Cota’s runway concept was a meeting of the modern West with the ancient mountainous East. Think earthy stones, camels and browns, with a flash of Tibetan red. To extend this look to the face, LaCeppe and Le Métier de Beauté developed a natural and sophisticated look with a strong brow and a wind-flushed glow. Here’s how:

Step 1: LaCeppe evened out the skin with Le Métier de Beauté’s Classic Flawless Finish Foundation and applied Classic Flawless Face Finish Concealer around the eyes and on any blemishes to create a flawless complexion.

Step 2: Eyelids were lightly dusted with True Colour Eye Shadow in Sequoia, then lined with the same shade. True Colour Eye Shadow in Sugar was applied to the inner corner of the eye to open and illuminate the eye.

Step 3: LaCeppe applied Crème Fresh Tints in Poppy to the apples of the cheek. To add contours, LaCeppe applied Blonzer in Maldives Magic to the hollows of the cheek.

Step 4: LaCeppe created an exaggerated and angular brow by using Brow Bound Eyebrow Pencil in one shade darker than the natural brow.

Step 5: Keeping the focus on the strong brow and the flushed cheek, LaCeppe chose to soften the natural lip tones by layering Classic Flawless Face Finish Concealer and Colour Core Moisture Stain Lipstick in St. Tropez or Miami.

Step 6: Finally, to keep the face matte, Classic Flawless Finish Loose Translucent Powder was applied lightly to finish.
