New at NM: Tata Harper Natural Skincare
While others peer into lab microscopes in search of a beauty breakthrough, Tata Harper has found one right at her feet, in the nutrient-rich soil of Vermont. Specifically, the 1,200-acre Julius Kingdom Farm, where the native Colombian lives with her husband and two children. “The simplicity of the country has always been important to me,” says Harper. “I just fell in love with Vermont.”
Inspired to live more holistically, Harper began a quest to find 100% natural skincare. “I had already changed my diet, but hadn’t really thought about the products I was using on my skin.” Disappointed by the effectiveness of existing options (“Water is natural, but it’s not going to do anything for wrinkles”), she set out to formulate her own collection.
Over the course of five years, Harper worked with biochemists, toured laboratories, and searched the globe to source the most luxurious, all-natural ingredients. Among her finds were the collagen-building narcissus bulb from Israel and the world’s only naturally derived hyaluronic acid from the Czech Republic. She also began to handcraft infusions and essential oils from her own farm-grown botanicals and continues to oversee all research, production, and eco-friendly manufacturing on the farm.
Now, to coincide with its launch at Neiman Marcus, Tata Harper is getting a packaging makeover and formula enhancements. One of the stars? The Replenishing Nutrient Complex, an antioxidant boost that tackles the signs of aging with such natural wonders as starflower and carrot oils, alfalfa, and precious rose otto. Or in Harper’s words, “It’s all about the power of the flower.”
Shop beauty during the Scent Event at NeimanMarcus.com and NM stores to receive gifts and samples, through Sunday, May 6.
