Happy Hour: Tea & Whiskey Toddy
Tea & Whiskey Toddy:
1.5 oz. Jameson’s Irish Whiskey, warmed briefly in a microwave
6 oz. Dammann Fréres Gout Russe Hot Tea, freshly brewed
1 T. Tea Mint Simple Syrup, stir in
Build drink into tea cup or hot beverage glass with handle. Garnish with lemon.
Note: To make the simple syrup, bring one cup of water to a boil, steep with 1 t. of your favorite black tea for 4 minutes. Turn off heat. Strain from the tea leaves and immediately add one bunch of mint leaves and 1/2 cup of sugar, allowing to sit for one hour. Store in airtight container.
