What made this item a must-have for you?
It’s crisp and smart and still very rich and luxurious. It’s new and different, but very easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. It’s the most understated and refined way to stand out. It’s something you don’t have in your closet, but goes with every shirt, suit and jacket you already own. It also looks great against bold checked dress shirts, which continue to be a huge trend.

Where would you typically wear this?
I wear it with a grey or navy suit to work, or to dress up a jeans look with a casual jacket.

Preppy Euro with a sartorial feel for work.

What are the trends in your market this season, and which of these are you incorporating personally?
Traditional menswear patterns in furnishings — neckwear/pocket squares – such as houndstooth, glenn plaid, herringbone, and tartans. They are a great way to add a new seasonal touch to your wardrobe. Epecially pocket squares. They are an easy way to add newness and really look like you know what you are doing. Narrower ties or bowties to dress up a denim look – it never hurts to look put-together. Colorful socks have become a huge trend and a great way to add some fun to a look. I’ve always been a fan of brogues and wingtip shoes, and I’ve added a couple of wingtip boots to my wardrobe this season.
