NM: What are your Spring and Summer essentials?
AMP: Anything pink, a soft printed pant, an oversized clutch that will take me from day-to-night, fabulous drop earrings, and a classic single-sole pointy pump.
NM: Who are your style icons?
AMP: Maria Felix and Diana Vreeland for their ability to accessorize without looking overdone, and Kate Moss for her effortless style.
NM: What accessories do you consider timeless?
AMP: You can never go wrong with a classic Chanel bag. If it’s too serious, try one with a pop of color. Iconic jewelry is always timeless in my book. Invest in a piece you love and you will always treasure.
NM: Name your favorite fashion blogs.
AMP: Into The Gloss, Garance Dore, All The Pretty Birds, Refinery 29 and The Man Repeller.
NM: Best accessory to splurge on this season?
AMP: Celine envelope clutch; my favorite in red.
NM: What music are you currently listening to and loving?
AMP: Lana del Rey, Florence and The Machine and Adele on instant repeat.
NM: Where do you go to escape?
AMP: Spring and Fall weekends in Kent, CT and long walks on the beach in Dominican Republic, my place of birth.
NM: What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
AMP: I enjoy visiting the penguins at the Central Park Zoo with my daughter Olivia, a good exhibit at the Neue Galerie followed by the best hot chocolate at Café Sabarsky, and a night of merengue and salsa dancing with my friends.
NM: What are you looking forward to for Fall?
AMP: Tall men’s inspired boots paired with lady-like looks, and season 3 of Downton Abbey!
