Antioxidants: Because SPF is Not Enough

AntiOxidants

Antioxidants are as beneficial for our skin as they are for general nutrition. Oxidation occurs naturally in the body as cells are continually created and destroyed. This process creates free radicals, which can interfere with normal cell function, damage cells and contribute to aging. Antioxidants work to neutralize free radicals before damage can be done to skin, thereby slowing the aging process.

Vitamins A, C, E, selenium and zinc are powerful antioxidants available in fruits, leafy vegetables, nuts, beans, green and black teas, and red wine. Many of these antioxidant ingredients can also be used externally on the skin’s surface to improve its appearance.

The products below should be applied as your serum and before your daily moisturizer.  They are essential all year long—but especially if you’re getting a lot of sun during the summer—and will boost the effects of your daily SPF.
