Levin’s signature look is radiant, flawless, ethereal beauty — the best version of a woman’s face.Levin grew up in Italy (and is fluent in five languages). She started her career working in film and special effects, and parlayed that experience into unparalleled technique on the red carpet. She sat down with us to share a few trade secrets.
Chanel LE CRAYON SOURCILS PRECISION BROW DEFINER

NM: What’s your favorite feature to play up?

AL: Actually, it’s the brows. Brows are often used to convey character [in movies] — your eyebrows influence how people respond to you.  When I’m working with a new client for the first time, I like to do their brows first, then have them look in the mirror.  They usually trust me after that.  Chanel’s brow pencils are great because they won’t disappear in the heat.

SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL SOFT TOUCH BRONZER

NM: How do you “summerize” your makeup?

AL: Everybody looks great in a little bronzer for summer. Think of applying a circle around the edge of your face, then moving in. Sweep your brush on the forehead, down the nose, on the chin. Then across the face, under the apples of your cheeks (where you’ll place your blush). And don’t forget your neck!

Chanel VITALUMIERE AQUA MAKEUP

NM: What are some of the products you use on Jennifer Aniston?

AL: Jennifer’s style is classic; she doesn’t really change with the trends. She’s known for her perfect, healthy, natural, beautiful, glowing skin. She loves Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation because it feels so light, photographs well, and stands up to humidity. It’s a great foundation — buildable, and good on everyone.

Also, I never send an actress down the red carpet without Inimitable mascara. I like to put on mascara last, so it stays black. Otherwise powder can get on the lashes, and you don’t get the full impact. Basically, with the right tools, every woman has movie star potential.
