Models Shine at David Yurman’s Rooftop Soiree

The weather gods were smiling last night upon David Yurman’s annual summer rooftop party, where guests mingled and danced under a purple sky and atop the brand’s Tribeca headquarters in New York.
“Every year we get a great night for this party and it’s something I love to do,” said Yurman. “Everyone is so busy all summer, it’s nice to get a chance to take time to relax with friends. I was working up until five minutes before I came up here.”
Friends of the brand were relaxed indeed as they lounged on white day beds, sipped summery concoctions and grooved to the DJ’s party classics. Models Coco Rocha and Joan Smalls (the latest face of David Yurman) were also happy to take a moment and enjoy the panoramic Hudson River views.
“There’s something so lovely about being in the outdoors in New York City in the summertime,” said Smalls. “It’s been a busy summer and any chance I get for some relaxation in the city, I take it.”

Rocha confided that staying put in New York wasn’t exactly by choice, even though she appreciates the downtime.
“I am actually applying for my Green Card, so I can’t really go anywhere,” said Rocha (Canadian). “But then again, being stuck in New York isn’t exactly the worst thing in the world.”
