Akris, Fall 2011

Spare, minimal, chic sportswear in double face, a fabric that is a constant at Akris but also a trend on every runway this season. Astrakhan, leather details and touches of Lurex added luxe to the collection. Deep plum and garnet speak to the important color story of the season.

Mix media of fur, woven and leather created varied shades within one color family. Zip details on jackets and coats created fly away panels for an architectural point of view. Bare branched trees and a “wedding cake” building were the prints of choice. Long, draped, slim jersey gowns were Albert Kriemler’s proposition for evening. Pure, simple, to-the-point luxury sportswear has become the hallmark of this house.
