Purple orchids, irises and palm fronds created arches around the Palais de Tokyo to define the catwalk—or panther walk. The panther was the theme on the invitation and the inspiration for patterned cut-outs backed with sheer. The collection balanced jungle seductress, Fifties bombshell and demure lady. Panthers appeared on plastic sunglasses and pullovers. Pansies, chains and Fifties pin-up girls also were motifs. A mix of strict and severe with overt and highly sensual… Fur and sheer combinations… Velvet puffers… A satin skirt, puffer and top in a pansy print becomes the new matched suit.
