Another amazing, standout collection from a designer of enormous talent. Playing off the codes of Spring, Le Smoking/tuxedo details continue to inform the collection. Pajama silks from Spring move forward with leather. Coats with long trains over wide pants… Fluid silk wrap dresses… Gorgeous color combinations… Cut-outs on skirts exposing the hips… Haider Ackermann’s name was already bandied about for Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld. Now he’s understood to be in the running to helm a major house that is suddenly without its designer.
