A runway carpeted in winter white with a graphic black line design was a nod to the play of pattern that informed this Marni collection. The big news here: slimmer silhouettes, a ladylike attitude, and matched pattern as opposed to mixed. Windowpane checks and graphic patterns that matched the carpeted runway. Boxy lady suits and tunics over straight skirts, all in matched prints , often belted to define the waist. Color blocking continues , on coats , on wedge shoes , on handbags, on fur. Prim and polished dressing made this collection understandable and wearable. A strong show with great color and charm!
