Vionnet creative director Rodolfo Paglialungo staged a presentation at a small hotel particuliere near the Palais Royale.
A geometric motif dominated the collection—inspired, he said, by a pattern he found on the Internet.
Chiffon and organzas imprinted with giant flowers in a kaleidoscope of colors like sky blue, iris, tangerine. Airy, sensual fabrics—taffeta, silk gazar—draped beautifully on the models. Paglialungo’s vision nods to the heritage of the house but is firmly entrenched in the now.
