At Gucci, Frida Giannini’s theme was Hard Deco and the collection boasted Jazz Age, Art Deco motifs and references—flappers, tuxedos, the Chrysler Building! Graphic mixes of black, white, gold and silver with the jolt of kelly green graphic. Drop waist dresses are seen throughout the collection. Many cropped boxy jackets topping tuxedo trousers. Diagonal fringed leather, beading, and chain details. Mixed animal prints were very chic—leopard, giraffe and zebra.
