Women's
Project Runway All Stars — Week 6, the Face-Off
Host Angela Lindvall enters the room with two armloads of handbags, which are distributed among the designers and revealed to correspond to one of the four seasons. For a moment it seems the designers will be paired up to collaborate. (There has not yet been a pairs or group challenge.) But no, they are going head-to-head. This dynamic of competition creates more tension than usual. Some designers admit they feel intimidated, while others will prove over-confident. The cattiness grows especially nasty between Jerrell and Michael, after Michael’s high-backed vest suspiciously evolves to resemble the drapey sweater coat that Jerrell had already made. The results of the judging are rather surprising, based on prior performance. The winless women all best their counterparts.
Kenley beats Mondo in the battle of dots vs. spots.
Kara’s boring basics beat Austin’s senior moment.
Jerrell, vindicated, beats Michael and wins the whole challenge.
Mila, with a classic caped look, beats Rami, who shows a fabulous jacket over an unfortunate top. It’s a farewell to Rami’s shapely arms, in yet another controversial decision.
