Mary Katrantzou: In 2002, I came back from the U.S. on Valentine's Day to surprise my boyfriend with a decision. I was leaving the U.S. to come to London to study at Central Saint Martin's and wait for him to join me. He is here now, and we are still together! I enjoy giving all my love on Valentine's Day and I will enjoy receiving support — it's a week to our show! (Alex Sainsbury photo.)

Rachel Roy: My most memorable Valentine’s Day are the times spent with my girls. They bring me constant joy and endless love. I enjoy giving fresh flowers to either a man or a woman, along with a handwritten note. I love receiving fresh flowers, a drawing from my 3-year-old, my 12-year-old’s thoughts, and a poem from a lover.

Charlotte Dellal of Charlotte Olympia: My most memorable Valentine’s Day was when I found out I was pregnant with my first son. I always appreciate receiving a wonderful bouquet of flowers. I enjoy giving cards. People are used to sending emails every day, so it’s nice to take the time to choose a beautiful card for a hand written message, and send it by post in time for Valentine’s Day.

Keren Craig of Marchesa: My most memorable Valentine’s Day was last year when my daughter gave me her first Valentine’s Day card that she made by hand. I enjoy giving my husband a handmade card as well. After many years together, it’s sort of a tradition. I am happy receiving flowers but also love a piece of jewelry!

Georgina Chapman of Marchesa: My Valentine’s Day usually involves dresses, lots and lots of dresses, as it is right before our show. I enjoy giving a gift with meaning, and love to receive something with thought and sparkle.
