The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum has just opened an exhibition on Van Cleef & Arpels, a force in precious jewelry for more than a century. Set in Style: The Jewelry of Van Cleef & Arpels examines the company’s innovative use of materials and production methods, and interpretations of trends over the years. The museum assembled 350 pieces from archives and international private collections, augmented by drawings, photos and related objects. If you can’t get to New York by June 5, you can still lose yourself in photos and videos on the museum’s web site.
