After a visit to Japan when the gardenias were in blossom, perfumer Annick Goutal sought to recreate the scent of this untamed flower. She blended their seductive scent with the freshness of a garden after a spring shower. In doing so, she created a sensual, captivating, and very feminine eau de parfum. Both sizes come in Goutal's signature glass bottle with gold top, packaged in a gold satin pouch.

Becoming a perfumer was a natural for Annick Goutal. Born in Aix-en-Provence in 1945, she studied piano until the age of 21, when she met a perfumer from Grasse. She learned that both perfume and music blend a variety of notes to create a pleasing, harmonious composition. When creating her now-legendary fragrances, Goutal artfully wove notes into bouquets of emotion inspired by childhood memories, dreams, and travels.
