  • Shipping

    The international shipping cost will be calculated and guaranteed during the Borderfree global checkout and is calculated based on the service level, the number of items purchased, the weight of the items, the destination country, and all applicable duties and taxes.

    Duty (or customs tariffs) is set by the destination country customs authorities and is determined based on a combination of the country of origin or manufacturing of the merchandise purchased, the classification of the merchandise in accordance with a harmonized system adopted and used by the countries Borderfree supports, and the Value Added Tax (VAT) rates set by the destination country. You will be able to view the guaranteed total amount of applicable duty and tax/VAT for your Neiman Marcus order within the Borderfree global checkout.

    At Neiman Marcus, we respect and value every customer. Because your trust is important to us, we want you to be completely happy with every purchase. If you are not satisfied, for any reason, we are glad to accept returns of saleable merchandise for a full refund or exchange. Refunds will be credited to the original form of payment. The following rules apply:

    • Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt.
    • Returned merchandise should be in the same condition as when you received it, unworn, undamaged, saleable, with original tags and packaging (if applicable).
    • Altered apparel, special orders, perishable or personalized/monogrammed items, and items identified as "final sale" cannot be returned.
    • Neiman Marcus reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine if returned merchandise is in saleable condition.

    Please contact our Customer Care to start your return and receive the required Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The customer care contact center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1.972.556.6044, online chat or by email.

    International orders returned directly to a Neiman Marcus store or sent to NeimanMarcus.com without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), will receive a refund for the merchandise only. Duties, taxes or tariffs will not be refunded.

    If you chose to pay duties and taxes at time of delivery (COD), you will not be credited for the duties, taxes or tariffs.

    Please allow up to six (6) weeks for processing your return and credit from your financial institution.

  • Exchange Rate

    Your order total is guaranteed at the exchange rate set when your order is placed. Foreign exchange rates are determined by Borderfree and are based on interbank rates of exchange. These rates correspond to the average aggregate exchange rates that would otherwise be applied in an e-commerce transaction.

    NeimanMarcus.com updates exchange rates every day. You'll receive a message if exchange rates have been updated while you're shopping.

  • Merchandise Restrictions

    If, for some reason, there are items that cannot be exported from the United States or imported into a particular destination country, Borderfree will notify you during the checkout process.

    • In compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation rules, restricted items such as fragrances must be delivered via standard shipping and cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, all U.S. territories, or APO/FPO addresses.
    • Certain consumer commodities such as aerosols, nail polish, fragrances, and other alcohol-based products are restricted air shipment products.
    • Some items require Fish & Wildlife declaration documents to export to certain countries. The cost of filing this documentation is $93.00 and will be added to your order total. Fish & Wildlife declaration document fee is non-refundable unless merchandise is defective. Please allow an additional 1 to 3 days for delivery.
    • Items greater than $10,000 cannot currently ship to International countries.

    Gift packaging and gift messages are not available for international orders.

    We do not currently support the sale or redemption of Neiman Marcus gift cards for international orders.

    Borderfree supports Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, and China UnionPay. The Neiman Marcus credit card can only be used by calling 1.972.556.6011 and placing your order with a Customer Care Associate.

    Your credit card will be billed by Borderfree at the time your parcel(s) leaves the United States. BF*Neiman Marcus or Neiman Marcus via Borderfree will appear on your credit card statement.

    Importer of Record

    For online orders, we use a global shipping partner, BorderFree, and are pleased to offer our world-class merchandise to more than 100 countries.

    For call-in orders only: The recipient is the importer of record and is responsible for complying with all laws and regulations for the Canadian destination. When our customer places an order with NeimanMarcus.com via phone, they authorize our customs broker to act as their agent with Canada Border Service Agency to clear merchandise and process all applicable duties, fees, and taxes.

    Shipping Charges

    Shipping is the charge for catalog and internet order processing, item selection, packaging, processing, transport, and handling. Special shipping requests, including specification of carrier and/or future shipping dates, may include additional charges. Shipping times are not guaranteed, notwithstanding additional charges, but are our best approximation and will vary with specific requests, such as gift packaging and monogramming.  Shipments and deliveries occur only on weekdays. Shipping is subject to change and will be determined at time of order and subject to the following:

    Standard Shipping

    Unless Priority is requested, your order should arrive in approximately 3 to 5 business days after shipping if ordered by 12:00 noon (CST). Fish & Wildlife items require additional time to ship.

    Priority Shipping

    If requested, add $10.00 to standard shipping. Your order should arrive in approximately 2 to 3 business days after shipping if ordered by 12:00 noon (CST) and may vary depending upon the destination. Please note International Priority orders placed after 12:00 noon (CST) Friday or on Saturday will be processed Monday and should arrive in 2 to 3 business days after shipping if ordered by 12:00 noon (CST) and may vary depending upon the destination. Some heavy or bulky items may not qualify for this service. A signature may be required and additional charges may be assessed if more than one attempt is made for delivery. This service is not available for some postal codes. Fish & Wildlife items require additional time to ship.

    Certain items considered hazardous materials including aerosols and alcohol-based products (e.g., pressurized spray cans, hairspray, nail polish remover, etc.) are restricted to ground-only transport, due to air transportation restrictions and regulations.

    Items ordered together may be delivered separately, and the shipping will be allocated over shipments but not necessarily evenly. Some orders may require more than one package to ship; for these shipments the additional charge for Priority and Standard would be a per package charge.

    If you request to change the destination address of a shipment en route, an additional charge may be assessed.

    Shipping to Post Office Boxes

    Shipping to Post Office Boxes in Canada is not available at this time.

    Shipping to Nunavut, Prince Edward Island Provinces, and Other Remote Locations

    Orders that cannot ship FedEx due to FedEx limitations will ship Foreign Parcel Post (FPP). Duty, brokerage, and taxes will be the responsibility of the customer.

    Duty & Brokerage (D&B)

    • D&B is calculated based on the value of your merchandise.
    • D&B is applied to a Gift with Purchase.
    • D&B is not applied to tax amounts.
    • D&B is not applied to shipping .
    • D&B is applied to value-added services, such as Gift Packaging.

    Taxes

    • Canadian Provincial Sales Taxes (PST), Goods and Services Sale Tax (GST), and Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) will be collected on each order when applicable.
    • PST, GST, and HST are not applied to other Canadian taxes.
    • Quebec Sales Tax (QST) will be calculated on all orders shipped to Quebec, and is based on the order’s retail value plus Duty and Brokerage.
    • PST taxes will not be collected for Nunavut and Prince Edward Island; they are the responsibility of the customer.
    • All taxes are calculated and listed as a sum value under Tax.

    Gifts

    To return a gift, simply fill out the packing slip, note the reason for return, and check the Gift Recipient box. A Neiman Marcus Group Merchandise Credit Gift Card will be issued to the recipient for the amount of the returned merchandise. The card can be used for store, online, and catalog purchases from Neiman Marcus, Horchow, Last Call, and Bergdorf Goodman. In compliance with Federal law, for gifts valued at more then $2,000, the recipient will received a check instead of a gift card.

    Other Items

    All fragrances, cosmetics and other restricted items must be unopened and in original packaging for a credit, refund or exchange. Restricted items must be returned using ground transportation.
    For cosmetic color consultation, we recommend contacting a Beauty Product Specialist specialist who will be happy to assist with selections matching your skin tone and type.

    Orders for personalized items cannot be canceled, and personalized items cannot be returned. We ask that you take special care when specifying initials or names, and if requested, the style and color of the personalization.

    Perishable foods should not be returned. Please call us at 1.888.888.4757 for questions about your perishable items.

    Due to air transportation restrictions and regulations, fragrance, cosmetics and certain items considered hazardous materials are restricted to ground-only transport. These include aerosols and alcohol-based products (e.g., pressurized spray containers, hairspray, nail polish remover, etc.).

    Precious jewelry must be returned within 60 days of the date you receive it. Returns must include all original documentation. Return/exchange policies for specific items will be noted on the packing slip.

    Return/exchange policies for specific items that do not apply to the above policy such as jewelry, fine art, etc., will be noted on the packing slip on that item.
    Please allow 10 to 14 days for processing your return.

    Merchandise Value of $5,000 or More

    To ensure the proper handling of a return for merchandise with a retail value of $5,000 or more, please call 1-800-825-8255 extension 5740, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm (CST) to arrange a special pick up. Do not use the enclosed FedEx PRP Return Label for merchandise with a retail value of $5,000 or more. Returns will be subject to a $30.00 (U.S.) processing fee unless defective. For your convenience, pickups are Monday through Friday.

    Fish & Wildlife declaration document fees are non-refundable unless merchandise is defective.

    Canadian Return Instructions

    When you return your merchandise using the enclosed FedEx PRP Return Label, you are authorizing our Canadian customs broker to submit a claim for duty and taxes to Canada Border Services Agency on your behalf and to receive, endorse and deposit all such refunds. NeimanMarcus.com will refund the purchase price, applicable duty, and taxes directly to you when your return reaches our fulfillment center and is fully processed. Returns will be subject to a $30.00 (U.S.) processing fee unless defective.

    Customers who process a return through other carriers will do so at their own expense. Return freight, duty and taxes will be the responsibility of the customer. Any duty or taxes initially paid at time of purchase will also be the responsibility of the customer to file for reimbursement with Canada Border Services Agency.

    If you did not retain the original commercial invoice, you will need to take your return to your local Postal Office and send back at your own expense to NM Direct, 123 Customer Way, Irving, TX  75039.

    Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for credit to be processed.


    If you wish to return your items, please follow the steps below:

    (For merchandise over $5,000 please see above.)

    STEP 1 – Circle the item(s) you wish to return on your FedEX Commercial Invoice and note the return reason and enclose in your shipping carton. (Return Reason Codes are listed on your packing slip.)
    STEP 2 – Affix the top right-hand Receipt/Shipper Number sticker to the Commercial Invoice.
    STEP 3 – Enclose the FedEx Commercial Invoice & NM Packing Slip in your shipping carton.

    STEP 4 – Fill out the top portion of the enclosed FedEx PRP Return Label with your Name, Address, City, Province, Postal Code, and the Order # from your packing slip.

    STEP 5 – Affix the FedEx PRP Return Label to the outside of your shipping carton.  To avoid any confusion, please be sure you deface or cover the original shipping label. (If you were shipped a box with an ORM-D label, please reuse same box and DO NOT deface or cover the label.)
    STEP 6 – Peel off the Shipper Receipt portion and retain for your records.
    STEP 7 – Return the shipping carton to any FedEx/Kinko’s location.

    If you did not retain the original commercial invoice, you will need to take your return to your local Postal Office and send back at your own expense to NM Direct, 123 Customer Way, Irving, TX  75039.  Original duty, tax, and freight will not be refunded.

    Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for your credit to be processed.

  • United States Military Addresses (APO/FPO)

    If you are shipping to a US or Military Address (APO/FPO) please proceed through the regular checkout process.
