FINE COAT STORAGE &

RESTYLING SERVICES

We’re dedicated to improving fashion’s impact on the environment. While we no longer sell new furs, we will preserve, maintain, and repurpose those you already own as part of our commitment to work with our customers to extend the useful life of 1 million luxury items by 2025.

WHAT WE CAN DO

COLD STORAGE

We’ll store the fur garments you already own in our state-of-the-art, humidity- and temperature-controlled vaults.

CONDITIONING

Our specialists will hand-treat your entire garment, inside and out, to keep it looking like new. This includes professional sanitizing, cleaning, and conditioning to prevent premature deterioration, dust, mite, or moth damage, and to retain its lustrous appearance.

RESTYLING

Our tailors will work with you to restyle and/or repurpose your existing garments into a new piece or pieces, giving you options to extend the life of your most-loved luxury items.

These expanded services include scheduled drop-off appointments at your store, as well as convenient home pickup.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

USE A PROFESSIONAL CLEANER

  • A specialist should inspect and clean your garment at least once a year.

  • Never dry clean or use commercial cleaning products.

PROTECT YOUR GARMENT BETWEEN CLEANINGS

  • Avoid spraying cologne or perfume when wearing your garment.

  • Wear a light scarf around your neck underneath your fur to protect from makeup and skin oils.

  • When your garment becomes slightly wet from rain or snow, shake it out and hang to dry.

SPOT CLEAN LIGHT STAINS

  • For fresh stains, dampen a cloth with water and gently dab in the direction of growth.

  • Don’t rub or scrub, as it could cause matting.

HAND BRUSH GENTLY

  • Use your hand to lightly brush in the direction of growth.

  • Never use a brush or comb on natural fur, as it may cause damage.

STORE YOUR GARMENT

  • Short-term, use a broad-shoulder hanger in your closet; don’t use a garment bag.

  • Long-term, seek out professional storage in a climate-controlled vault.

  • Never store in cedar (it will dry out your garment).
