THE ICON COLLECTION was photographed at Ostia Antica, an archaeological site that was once a harbor city in ancient Rome. Says Cucinelli, “The port of Ostia welcomed new fashions from around the world, which, coming up the Tiber River from the sea, landed in Rome.” The inspiration for the Icon Collection draws from this location and its sense of timelessness reflected in the ruins that still stand today, a reminder of how the past continues to inform the present.
