Dries Van Noten Vanille Camouflage Eau De Parfum, 100 mL
What it is:
The artful illusion of a green vanilla, Vanille Camouflage creates the sensation of softness on the skin. The green, resinous facets of galbanum transform a duo vanilla – the liquor notes of bourbon vanilla and the creamy, almond aspect of the Tahitensis – sublimating its complexity and richness. A unique and subtle layering that turns more and more intense.
About the bottle:
A dual expression of fashion and art, the bottle fuses deep green glass and precious porcelain patterned with poetic, watercolor-style flowers as though lifted from a painting.
Fragrance & notes:
Top Notes: Galbanum, Cypress & Fig accord
Heart Notes: Lentisque absolute, Ylang Ylang & Sandalwood
Bottom Note: Vanilla Bourbon Absolute, Vanilla Tahitensis, Benzoin & Ambery woods
Scent inspiration:
A clash between galbanum and vanilla creates an artful illusion of a green vanilla in its original form. Green and crisp, Galbanum leaves a resinous effect, while a vanilla duo is rich and complex thanks to the absolue of vanilla bourbon for tones of leather and liquor and vanilla Tahitensis, which adds a creamy, almond layer. Exuding a splendour of freshness, the fragrance reveals its lushness with the tonality of a camouflage pattern.
“It’s so unusual to see a vanilla in its very original shape, and so green! This is exactly what the fragrance translates.” –Alexandra Monet

About Dries Van Noten:
Dries Van Noten is considered as much an artist as fashion designer. His signature use of prints, color, and ethnic influences temper eccentricity with a keen sense of refinement. In 2008, Van Noten was honored in New York with the CFDA International Designer of the Year Award. His collections first received their dedicated areas at Bergdorf Goodman in September 2010. Now, Julian Klausner continues his legacy, bridging the gap between the traditional and the avant-garde.
