Neroli, an enticing white light, alongside Outrenoir, an artistic style of endless depth and darkness - its polar opposite. Like a flash in the shadows, bathed in the light of bergamot and petitgrain, neroli essence confronts the darkest, most enigmatic notes of smoked tea.
Out of this clash of materials arises a magnetic, contrasted fragrance that plunges us into a fascinating state of bewilderment. A luminous neroli, plunged into deep, dark smoked tea.
Neroli Outrenoir offers a newfound bright white to the darkness, in the style of a work by Pierre Soulages. The Guerlain Perfumers took inspiration from the masterworks of this painter, who brought abrupt glimmers of light out from the dark.
Neroli essence is obtained through distilling orange blossom. Fresh and floral, it is distinguished by its verdant, citrusy notes. For Neroli Outrenoir, orange blossoms are hand-picked and distilled on-site in Nabeul, Tunisia.
Neroli has been a material used by the House of Guerlain ever since its founding, forming the signature of the iconic Eau de Cologne Imperiale composed in 1853.
