The perpetual calendar allows for date and time display, taking into account that months can have 28, 29, 30 or 31 days. Thus, there is no need for a manual setting when changing month, even in a leap year. The Gregorian calendar features an exception. The century years are leap years only when divisible by 400. 2000 was a leap year. 2100 will be an ordinary year. The perpetual calendar mechanism being set over 4 years (1,461 days), it will not be able to consider this exception. Therefore, time will come when a manual correction will be required.
