Published in partnership with The Andy Warhol Museum and KAWS, this book is a stunning companion to the major KAWS + Warhol exhibition, which opens May 2024 and extends through January 2025, and then tours internationally.
Mirroring the exhibition, the book features a special installation created by KAWS as well as a number of other celebrated works by Warhol and KAWS, including prints, paintings, and sculptures.
Highlighting the parallels between the works and careers of KAWS and Warhol, the book examines both artists’ recurring themes of consumerism, celebrity, and an inconspicuous darkness that lies beneath the surface of their often brightly colored works.
